Being at the beach house all weekend watching Jayden crawl
must have been good for Nicholas,
because as soon as we got him out of the car after driving back home that Sunday,
he took off.
And he hasn't stopped since.
It's the greatest crawl I've ever seen: heavy breathing, arms and legs pounding, a happy glint in his eye, and proud celebrating when he gets to wherever he's going. I love it.
Here are some quick little videos of his first moments as a mobile person.

Crawling is always one of the proudest parenting moments! Hooray for Nicholas!
Yeah! So cute! I loved Jayden's pre-real-crawl stage. Watch out world here he comes!
it's so fun when their mobile, he's too cute!
Way to go Nicholas! Happy Day.
Thanks Becca for posting the pictures...he is way cute.
I love the videos. It is so so fun to see how hard little babies have to work to get where they want to go, but in a matter of days, they have it down to an art. We are so excited for Nicholas-Hooray!
What a cutie! That is so exciting that he's crawling!
Cute! I love his happy sounds!
Oooo! What an exciting milestone! It makes your heart melt, doesn't it? I love to see his little legs kicking! Yeah for fun mothering moments!
It's amazing how much infants are drawn to cellphones. It always makes a good incentive.
This is such a fun and crazy stage :). I remember Derek getting stuck under things when he first started crawling - the memories.
