I layed (lay? lie?) on the finally-dried grass.
The back of my legs got hot in the sunshine.
I could smell someone cooking enchiladas.
I could smell dirt and grass when I stuck my nose down close to the ground.
I watched a plane.
I read about "Writing with Style."
I wore sunglasses and drank orange-passion-guava juice out of a waterbottle.
Beautiful.

i'll bet it's nice to finally have the warmth, I think i take it for granted most of the time
ReplyDeletewait till you get to Texas, you won't ever want to see a blanket again... too hot! OK, maybe being on top of one wouldn't be too bad, but still.
ReplyDeletesounds like a perfectly blissful day- how fun.
